Hehe, I tried using the gallery googlemaps theme once, but i found it way to slow to be usable.
I also really really really cbf tagging nearly 2000 photos. The concept is great, especially for my photos which are mostly taken overseas too. Next: camera with automatic gps tagging.
that's the thing, seb
cheers, muesli
Cool thing!
How did you get the data into the EXIF info of the pictures? Does it work under Linux (not the device, I mean the application for the picture/time/coordinate correlation)? Thanks!
i used gpscorrelate, a little gtk tool for that job. get it from here: http://freefoote.dview.net/linux_gpscorr.html
it reads GPX logfiles only, though. gpsbabel helps. so in shortform, i did: $ gpsbabel -i nmea -f sonylogfile.log -o gpx -F output.gpx $ gpscorrelate rest is mouse-clicking and rather obvious. hope it helps. tell me when your map is online i'm pondering writing a little qt4 tool for doing that job and reading NMEA data directly. (or rather integrating gpsbabel support, so you could theoretically use it with any device) cheers, muesli
