Since I broke various mobile phones in the last weeks (three, actually), I had to look out for a cheap new one. As I already
mentioned, Bluetooth and GPRS is what I'm basically looking for. Surprisingly, Lidl offered the Nokia n-Gage for only 159 Euros. This price's really tough to beat, and so I bought it.
Well, I'm really excited about it. Sure you look stupid while phoning (sidetalking) and it's not really small-sized, but on the other hand it offers plenty of features:
- MP3 & AAC player
- MPEG4 (3gp) video player
- Big 4K color display
- GPRS & Bluetooth
- HTML / WAP Browser
- POP/IMAP/SMTP Mailclient
- 3D chip for gaming
- FM radio (incl. a record option)
- MMC slot (up to 256mb)
- Symbian Series60 operating system
There're already a few games out, which really rock. I prefer Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Virtua Tennis & Fifa 2004. Tony Hawk - for example - updates itself via the Internet and you could even share recordings of your own favourite moves. Neat idea
Probably it's time to do some Symbian development, again.
Have fun
