...no entry
This was a tough week. A lot of stuff has to be developed for my company, so my spare-time is about 2 hours per day. Travelling over three hours every day is getting more and more horrible. Sometimes, I'm feeling a little paranoid because of all those 80 year old strangers, who seem to chase me. After a while they all look the same
"Technically", nothing really new happened in my life. I just try to get my work done and look forward to the weekend. Hopefully some sun and then the summer will get me out of this boring mood.
Happy hacking,

Today our permanent internet connection has received a little bandwidth upgrade. It's 4.5 times the speed it used to be. Downloading could be pretty fun those days - if there was no such thing like traffic. To be honest: I'm scared of traffic
And if there is one thing in the world I'm really losing control of, then it's my internet traffic. So I just installed nitpicker on my central gateway. It logs all the outgoing and incoming traffic including ip and ports. As soon as I have some spare-time I'm going to write a little PHP analyzing tool for nitpicker's data-files.
This evening is pretty sad. Still developing some stuff for my company, although I'm feeling pretty sick since this morning. Hopefully my headache gets better tomorrow. One final thing happened: I installed the new XBMP 2.3 on my xBox. Mounting (linux) samba shares still does not work - but this media- / dashboard application is getting better and better from release to release. DivX, Quicktime, MPEG4, MP3, WMV is working smoothly. As mounting does not work, you will still have to setup XBMS. But this is really easy and explained in the README.
see you later,

This evening I found out, that if I move my indoor satellite antenna just a bit I will be able to receive about 200 more TV stations. That's more than I ever expected to happen on a sunday.
Andz was here all the evening and we played some FIFA 2k3 and DOA Beach Volleyball. Afterwards I fixed 2 jBlog bugs and now I'm going to read some web-articles on slashdot or heise or so... nothing more than pretty lazy sunday night stuff. What did you expect to happen?Have a new catchy tune: 03 Bonnie and Clyde by Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles.
Oh, and one last thing. The new kopete cvs is working again. So go, get a cvs copy and compile it! This Multi-Instant-Messanger rocks!good night

This evening I received a mail with this link: http://www.wreckedexotics.com - Just go there and pick your (favourite) car and see what it might look like when a woman drove it.
Especially look out for the BMW Z3 series! There is a nice picture of a burning roa(d)ster. Don't want that happening to mine

orth gave me a good tip last night: kuake is a X11-shell for KDE. The special thing about it: It works like a quake or counter-strike shell. It sleeps in the upper corner of your screen until you click on it. Then it's awake and usable as a normal console. Not enough imagination?
Here's an image:
This is really great, once you got used to it. I love it!

Back again.
As described in my last blog entry, when I have the time and the right mood, I'm going to enhance my xBox. This night, I got my original xBox controller working under Linux. Now I can use it, to control divX, MP3 and DVD playback. Hooray
It's really easy, just three steps to take:
1. RTFM, here is the FAQ.
2. Get latest MPlayer sourcecode and ./configure it with "--enable-joystick"
3. Start MPlayer, plugin your xBox controller and practise the button usage
so long,

Still awake and developing for my company. Two projects are launching this week, and a lot of stuff has to be developed, to be designed and to be fixed. usual stuff.
In my rare spare-time, I'm developing some fun projects (online game, php extension) and from time to time I'm going to enhance my xBox. evolutionX is already installed on harddisk, xbox-Linux does so, too
I also re-installed Linux on Jay's dbox2, so we can digitally record movies from the sat antenna. It's streamed via udp to a linux daemon on one of our servers. You're able to record whole blockbusters in DVD quality (also with AC3-sound) or create recording schedules. The only thing needed: muuuuch disk-space. Every movie needs about 2 gigabytes
btw: DVD ripping is lame. (and too slow, btw. SUCKERS!)
And daily we praise our new god, the Astra satellite constellation, which delivers us nearly 800 channels. Good night, I'm going to watch some TV

Installed the latest kde3.1 packages from Orth this night.
Kinda friggin' work. Some dependencies drove me nearly mad. Finally I got most of them fixed, so my desktop is up and running again. Now I have some troubles with Mosfet Liquid 0.9.6pre4 and non-resolving symbols in the mga_drv.o X11-module. Now you know, what life on the 'Cutting Edge' feels like
good night.

Good morning - What a lazy morning. Got awake at 2pm. Now I'm looking forward to watch soccer. But I can't decide whether to stand up or not. Actually I'm still abed and can't get myself out of here
Already updated my dbox2 with the new Yadd, which was released yesterday. For more information about how to install Linux on your dbox2, visit Dietmar's Homepage.

Thank god, it's weekend!
Do you know those fridays in office? It's noon and things finally seem to turn good. You can see the horizon, the end of this week. You can see all the spare time.
As it turned out, this friday noon, everything should be different. We had a loooong meeting at the office, and after one hour of rail-road-adventure, we decided to clean our place. But it paid for itself! Now I'm feeling comfortable (and hungry) again. Enough for now. Set my mind to chill-mode and now it's waving to the sound of "All I Need" by Air....

Forgot to sleep
I was just about to leave my desk, as a friend sent me this url: http://www.mondominishows.com. Check it out, there are some kickass flash movies. Watch out for "Send a Valentine's Day Smoochie".
Another funny page is http://www.joecartoon.com! The stoned supa flies are one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
g'night,

Hi!
Just installed s9y today. Jannis, a friend of mine, developed it over the last few days. And it really looks cute. Also the rewrite-rule feature kicks major ass.
s9y is not released yet. But you can use it right here, right now. I'll inform you, when it's going to be released.
{update:} It is released now
Tired, probably going to bed right now.
